UNICO Demand AC Social Bonus

A transfer of 155 million Euros has been authorized to the Autonomous Communities to advance in the development of three initiatives of the Program for the Universalization of Digital Infrastructures (UNICO):

  • UNICO Industry and Companies
  • UNICO Social Bonus
  • UNICO Buildings

The aim is to strengthen access to connectivity throughout the territory and improve ultra-fast broadband connections (over 100 Mbps) in areas of economic concentration and companies.

Specifically, UNICO Social Bonus seeks to contract or improve fixed broadband connection, with a minimum speed of 30 Mbps, for individuals or families identified as vulnerable.

There will be a limitation of one social voucher per family unit and person with a maximum amount of 240 €/year. Operators that provide service in all or some of the autonomous communities and cities may collaborate with the program. The distribution among the Autonomous Communities has been made according to the number of families at risk of poverty. The objective is the granting of at least 125,000 connectivity vouchers for individuals or families classified as vulnerable for the acquisition of a broadband connection package with the most appropriate technology.
