The Program of aid to SMEs for the integration of artificial intelligence and robotization in their value chains will be launched. This program will finance projects with advanced technological maturity (levels 6, 7 and 8), i.e. it will support products that could be close to being adopted by the market and therefore transferred to the value chain. In this sense, and due to the levels of technological maturity managed, an impact is expected in the short and medium term.

The projects selected must not be submitted by groups of legal entities, associations or foundations. In addition, they must correspond to cases of solutions and services that, using artificial intelligence, respond to thematic and sectoral needs, with priority being given to the agri-food, field robotics, health, etc. sectors.

Projects that enable the creation of start-ups and new companies throughout the territory will receive a notably positive assessment. The degree of innovation and technological challenge of the project, the quality and methodology of the proposal presented, the adequacy of the company's technological capacity for the project, collaboration with third parties and the management of industrial and intellectual property will also be assessed.

Another point to consider is the economic viability and exploitation of results, including the value of the product to solve the relevant needs of the demand and the target market and its socio-economic impact.

Priority will be given to projects that contribute to closing the gender and digital divide, as well as those that contribute to territorial structuring. The aid intensity limits will be those set out in the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER), 25% for Experimental Development, which may be increased to 60%.
