Basic digitization for SMEs

This line of action includes programs that aim to promote the digitization of SMEs by offering the necessary resources to tackle their digital transformation processes.

One of these programs is the Digital Kit, a separate measure in this agenda given the large volume of investment. The program aims to promote a scalable mechanism of public-private collaboration and high impact to facilitate and accelerate the digitization of SMEs, especially micro-SMEs and the self-employed, promoting the implementation of a basic package of digitization tools appropriate to their initial situation and specific needs. This program has a planned investment of 3,000 million euros in the period 2021-2023.

Another program is the Connectivity Vouchers for SMEs, which aims to provide support for connectivity investments for SMEs participating in public digitization programs, with a planned investment of 50 million euros in the 2021-2023 period. Included in the SME Digitization Plan, they will enable beneficiaries to have internet connection to be able to incorporate basic digitization packages and increase productivity through remote work, communication with customers and suppliers.

In addition, the Protect your Business Program, launched by INCIBE to strengthen the cybersecurity of companies, offers a set of awareness-raising, education and training actions in cybersecurity aimed specifically at companies, especially SMEs and micro-enterprises. With a planned investment of 42 million euros in the 2021-2023 period.

Finally, the Acelera Pyme program, which aims to help SMEs in their process of incorporating digital technologies into their production systems and value chains. The program consists of creating a network of offices, a dynamic platform with valuable content and plans to hold workshops and seminars throughout the country. It has a planned investment of 26.4 million euros over the 2021-2023 period.
