UNICO Demand AC Industry and Businesses

A transfer of €155 million has been authorized to the Autonomous Communities to advance in the development of three initiatives of the Program for the Universalization of Digital Infrastructures (UNICO):

  • UNICO Industry and Companies
  • UNICO Social Bonus
  • UNICO Buildings

The objective is to strengthen access to connectivity throughout the territory and improve ultra-fast broadband connections (over 100 Mbps) in areas of economic concentration and companies.

The UNICO Industry and Business Program has a budget of 75 million euros for the period 2022-2023 and its objective is to reinforce connectivity in industrial estates, logistics centers and areas of economic activity concentration, located in white zones or gray zones for next generation access (NGA).

The program will include both the deployment of broadband that allows speeds of 300 Mbps, scalable to 1 Gbps, and the interconnection of the centers or facilities with each other.  The funds have been distributed according to criteria based on the size of the territory and number of companies in the Autonomous Communities.
